Even smaller than the Peel, Brutsch Mopetta

At the golden age of microcars, Brutsch built the smallest one, the Mopetta. The single-seater, duh, was a fiberglas-bodied 'boat', powered by a 1-cyl, 2-stroke engine with a pull starter rated at 2.3 hp. It hung on the left side of a ladder frame with trailing arms at the rear and an Earles-type fork (triangulated fork that RISES when braking hard, opposite of telescopic fork) at the front. Five original Mopettas were ultimately built, 14 precise replicas made later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDpT...lugkimeSJKqPcQ

I'd take one to work half the year, were they common/legal/affordable.

"Brutsch Mopetta"

For some reason, when I saw that I read "bruschetta". Lunch time?

Peel is possibly more impressive for having a fixed roof, though.

Equipped with an inefficient 50cc, revving at top revs, for doing 30-35MPH..
Not for me.

I had a 1993 City-El EV boosted from 36V to 48V using 4 Die Hard batteries. I think they are made with 48V, but do not sell in the US. Too bad the batteries died forcing the sale. City-EL one person 3-wheel vehicle

Look at electric velomobiles as they are more streamlined.
