Feeler....1994 Pontiac Firefly Electric conversion may be for sale

After much debate, I'm considering selling my first homebuilt EV. Not sure what the value of a unit like this might be, but I'd like to get back the cost of the batteries at the very least. It has a pack of 6 T105's and a 31D 12v high capacity truck battery that is used as the accessory battery (all were new last year). The vehicle has proven to be an interesting experiment, but my current situation does not allow me to use it to commute to work. I have used the car for approximately 300 electric km, and it has worked well. Construction is around 90% complete.

Unfortunately, I live too far from work to drive it, and it is impractical to use it in the rural area that I live in now aside from a novelty ride. I will be sorry to see it go, but right now it is just taking up space in the yard. The donor car was a 1994 Pontiac 2dr hatch, fair shape, some rust, the drive train and motor adapter system is complete and functional, and it has proven to work well as a NEV.

The electric specs are as follows, Curtis 1205x 400A 24-36v controller and a Baker motor out of a walk behind forklift, throttle potbox home made to hook up directly to original cable, clutch emergency disconnect, etc. For pictures and more information, please click this link and view post #15 for pictures

Again, this is just a feeler to see if there might be any interest, and what a reasonable price might be for a vehicle like this. I'm thinking somewhere in the $1200-1500 mark might be right. The car is located near Brandon Manitoba, in Canada. If you have any comments or interest please feel free to respond here or PM me if you prefer.

Thanks for looking,

Swede
