Finally got an EV...
Hi, not been on here for a while - and now I have a new car which happens to be a 2013 Nissan Leaf.
I see a few others have already posted some mileage figures, which is really useful and gives me something to compare with. The previous owner has fitted decidedly non-energy saving front tyres which will need replacing to get the best out of it, but of course Nissan have already done a good eco-design already to maximise range. What I can say is that it's far more fun to drive than I expected, and could be the perfect car for an eco-geek as it has plenty of stats visible from the dash as standard. For reference it's a UK-built Acenta model, with heated seats and a solar spoiler (gimmick) in grey. |
Congrats on the new electric wheels!

Welcome back! The stock Bridgestone Ecopia EP422 tires are the lowest rolling resistance tires I know of; so you would do very well to go to those.
The little solar panel barely produces enough energy to run the vent fan. My Leaf S has the heated seats, and a heated steering wheel - both are great to have. Does your car have a heat pump? |
