Finally saying hi

I've been reading the forum for a while and thought I should start sharing.

I started modding with a 93 Corolla 1.6L 5 speed stick with 136k on it. First was basic driving habits, then syn. transaxle and engine lube, alignment, AC del., mild WAI, header, blocked front bumper, Evans coolant, blocked the rest of the front, pulled the fan relay, opened the front back up a little, and a few other little things and general maintainance along the way. I started around 30 mpg and for most of its life I averaged 42 mpg with a peak tank of 52.

Now, with 450k on it, it's parked for now. I have dreams of swapping a 20 valve 4age and 6 speed into it.

Welcome to the site rh0. What're you currently driving with the Corolla parked?

Wow - 450k miles on it. Nice going.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks guys. Love the site, I've learned a lot from all the generous members.

I'm temporarily driving a 2wd 2004 Mazda b2300 pickup with a 5 speed AUTO. I get the feeling its a great example of the inferiority of autos for fe despite similar epa numbers, 23 v 27 hwy. I'm struggling to get 28 between fillups. Soon I'll have a 93 Mitsubishi expo lrv with a rebuilt engine and auto trans. At that point I might resurrect another corolla I have with only 250k and go full boat-tail.

PS. Just scored 17 LARGE coroplast campaign signs :)
