Finally! some decent trips!
 

I finally got the chance to take the car on the highway, and saw some good numbers!
On the way to San Diego last night, with the lights up (flat 6x7 bricks, work like airbrakes) I managed to get 33.67 or so. Kept it to 62 and under aside from a few times I caught myself reverting to my old ways. Both mirrors folded in (folded the driver's side about 45 miles after starting).
Coming back this morning, with the passenger mirror folded in. Only got over 60 a couple of times, did some good p&g. Followed a truck to make sure I went nice and slow - and managed to get 39.46mpg.

I'm pretty happy about this - the only changes I've made from my base runs were taking out the passenger seat and spare tire. The rest is changing the way I'm driving.
