Sorting through an old backup, here's my very first VW:
A black-on-black 1958 convertible, with Sears Rader wheels. It had a single layer top like an American convertible. The top down laid flat. A spring loaded CB radio antenna snapped off to AM radio length. Unfortunately, the roll-down Quarter window's seals failed and the rocker panels had rotted out. My plan to replace those fell through.
The Rader wheels moved to two or three other vehicles and I eventually traded the set of four for a whole car -- the 1979 Dasher Diesel.
