First Aeromod Car recommendation
 

Hi guys and gals!
I am new to the forum but I really have a interest in fuel-economy and I am a car nut....so the question is, I am looking to buy a car, mainly to aeromod. Something cheap and simple...like a civic maybe?
I have looked for a honda civic VX but I really haven't found one so I am willing to look at almost anything. In short, if you could buy a car for aeromodding... budget about 2000-4000 what would you buy??

My personal fav would be mk3 mk4 jetta/golf with a tdi. It would have high miles but if taken care of the diesels will last

Someone is selling a 2001 Insight for $3,500 here on the forum. It sounds like a good car to begin with.

Or look for a 2001-2006 VW tdi golf - they get great mileage.

A CRX dx or hf. Lightwieght, very small frontal area (makes for better aeromodding), efficient and fun to drive! For everything else i would choose a sedan over a hatchback. Better aero starting point, and better aero potential.
