first air dam attempt

i made a small air dam it is only about 3 inches in the front and designed more like a splitter to increase air into the bottom of the radiator. then it tappers of to flat on the sides. it is more of a prototype what do you guys think of the design. i was able to notice a minuscule increase. there is a hill i coast and the scan gauge never gets above 99.6 mpg i got it to 101 as i coasted today. may have been fluke but its just a prototype.

That looks like a good start. Is that a grill block too?

The idea of a splitter plate or forward rake, it to capture the air above the splitter, move it off to the sides, and keep it from going underneath the car.
So where it goes flat, it won't act as a splitter plate anymore and air will spill underneath the car.

Not bad.

What's the material?

the material was coroplast with scrap wood as a support. the design was to be a splitter right where the front grill opening is then taper off to a regular air dam flat i thought it would be better to scoop more air in a smaller hole than make the holes larger and just do a regular air dam.
