Fisker's cars are so very pretty

And Fisker himself is actually a good guy. I had the chance to meet him last week. Unlike Tesla's Elon Musk whose job only seems to be running around calling his critics "douchebags" and "idiots," Fisker is actually a car guy who is involved with the designs of the company.

The motor is ridiculously large:

Classically beautiful proportions & sculpting...but got to tone down a bit that Cheshire cat/BMW kidneys; smile.

Don't take too many pictures of the roof with your flash - you'll overcharge the car's batteries. :P

LOL@Cheshire cat.

Sweet ride. I wonder how many hours you'd need to sit in the sun to drive a mile...

SVOboy 04-16-2009 03:47 PM

The solar panels are mainly for powering accessories.

Fisker told me that a week in the sun would get you 8 miles of charge out of the batteries.

8 miles! That's what you get for building a power hog :)

That's in fact one thing that bothers me about the "sexy" commercial EV's being developed. They're still gluttons, relatively speaking.

Yes, I agree. But it's also more charging of the battery than the toyota prius panels will done (which is none).
