:thumbup: I was just tellin someone the other day that back in time we used to clean, file and regap spark plugs instead of toss them and buy new ones.

Yeah, but back then the replacement interval was a good deal less than the 105K miles on the Insight :-)

I used to be pretty good at filing and adjusting ignition points, too. And I may still have my old SU carb balancing gauge around somewhere...

Man, I got quite a few sets of feeler gauges and point files too. :eek:

I found an old Rotel amp (80's) on the curb about a year ago. Bought the manual online, replaced 1 fuse, all the fuse bulbs (lighting) and cleaned it. Works quite well and provides very good audio with the right set of speakers. Still need to fix a watt-meter though and clean the electrical contacts of the numerous knobs.

As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
