Flexible carbon fiber ailerons

The McLaren Speedtail ha a 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 in combination with an electric motor has been highly massaged for a high-speed aero effeciency. It has hit over 250 mph over 30 speed tests. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZExtub-x_5w
One of the more more interesting details were the flexible carbon fiber ailerons that are integrated into the larger rear clamshell cover. The carbon fiber layers are strategically laid out to allow flexible hinges be hydraulically actuated. It moves the flaps up or down depending on the aero requirements. It could be used as an airbrake or finely balance the car at high speeds.

Personally, I would not drive this car at high speed below let's say 45 degrees F for fear of stressing that joint.

Epoxy gets brittle in the cold, right?

Besides, summer tires don't stick for squat below 50 degrees.

Cant argue about the tires, but glass glider drivers have been doing this for 20 years that I'm aware of and it gets to freezing and below at altitude

Most commercial planes and the space shuttle had lots of carbon. Both are good in cold

An argument for Basalt fiber instead of Carbon.
