Carbon nanotube: the next-gen automotive/engineering material
The crystal structural and atomic-bonded physical properties make it one of the most versatile, strongest and stiffest materials. Twenty times stronger than carbon fiber. It is 3D printable, thermo-formable, transparent-capacitive, more efficient catalytic converters, high-performance paints, coatings & fluids, used to make super capacitors with enhanced low-temperature and higher power densities and could transform the automotive design/manufacturing processes. How long until Daox can print me an indestructible shifter knob?

I am waiting for those nano-carbon capacitors to become "reality."

So it can do everything on the car but drive the wheels? Sounds like a wonder product but if it can be thermoformed, doesn't that mean it can be thermoDEformed as well? I don't want my car to melt if I decide to take a trip to Texas in the summer...

Well, if there's a hint that batteries could be made out of the stuff, and enable longer range, quicker charging EVs, it might be delayed a long time.
