Ford Ka mk1 tips for efficiency?
Driving a mk1 Ka at the moment as a temporary car while waiting for parts to get my main car back on the road.
Any Ka owners here? Currently been getting 6.5L/100km out of it with easy going driving. Seems kind of big for a car that size  |
Looks like pretty typical gas mileage for one:

It has the 1.3 liter endura-e engine. 60hp Edit:wife used to have a 2002 manual yaris, that thing chugged about 5.3L/100km with normal driving |
It is thirsty, for such a small car and engine. If its the older 1.3l(pre 2002?), it's probably just not built with enough modern FE tech under the hood; old engine design they kept updating over the years. (Like the Ranger 4 cylinder engines)

Yeah, that one is a 1998. I shall take this as a challenge and see how low can i go. :D

Hi iikhod,
Pump the tyres, put a grille block and optimize your driving style and glide as much as possible. this will drop your consumption by at least 0.5l. It worked for me. |
