I probably won't be able to notice any results. Conditions are way to variable with wind and temp swings right now.

Looks good craveman. I wouldn't be surprised if you noticed a boost. That is a lot of area closed off.

craveman85 04-09-2014 03:01 PM

I may do the foglight openings but there's actually a plastic piece in there blocking it off pretty much anyways.

The red part in the middle of the grille isn't actually blocked off. Its gutter guard mesh painted red and epoxied in there for aesthetic purposes.

Eventually I will probably move the bumper up to close that gap more. I'll have to drill holes though. The stock brackets have no adjustment.

I am getting better mpg but I also added an air dam today so I'm not too sure how much of an improvement it was. However my trip home from work I got 32.5 mpg when my best before was 29.8ish. So something is working.

This tank ended up being 31 mpg. Some of this increase may have been from warmer temps and such but definitely my best and so far. I'm getting over 100 miles more per tank compared to normal driving.

That's the best part. My old Ranger was good for ~260 miles out of tank (pre-hypermiling days), my Yaris is good for 400+, 500 if it's a good tank. Congratulations!
