Got this email today:

Due to the World Economy Recession, Ford Motor Company, Inc undergo a statistic fall in Sales and result in a drastic financial crisis this last season.

The United States Government has given us the opportunity to bounce back on our feet, but unfortunately we have not achieved the fund necessary.

Therefore, we offer you the opportunity to purchase a very good Auto at half of the price. We decided to pull the sales of 500 cars at a very low price for us to aquire the capital needed to bounce back in business and to use this medium to increase the scale of our valued customers.

Sound like a nice car, but . . . Ford issues warning on email hoax offering $15k Fusion Hybrid

Thought it was awfully strange Ford (of which I've never owned one in my life) would send me a personal e-mail to sell me 1 of 500 cars they decided to reduce the price on. Funny how scammers have moved to the auto industry to focus their work...times they are a tough!

Send me your bank account information and I'll deposit $400 for your time. Better yet, post it here and we all will!

No way could any auto manufacturer sell vehicles at 50% and not be in an even worse financial position. Unless they were selling SUV's to idiots in 2004.

You should reply back and ask if you can pay with Nigerian cashiers checks.

I tried to reply back with a photo of my Prius that said "Build these and I'll think about it" but the message is a no reply email (hello red flag)! They have a contact form you fill out (which I'm sure asks for banking info).

Ya don't even have to go in more than five words to see what a hoax it is. Typos and strange grammar give the game away 98% of the time. Most of these stupid bastids must have English as a second language.
