$150 for all 4 is still way to expensive in my opinion, I have not saved that much since I started hypermiling...

Yeah, it'll be awhile before you save that much in fuel, too.

Sorrow Six Star 11-15-2009 02:11 AM

oops I have been looking at those for two days thinking that was a set... my bad.

Coroplast and Velcro to the rescue...

Now to get me some Coroplast large enough.

I had those for my previous Saturn SC2. They'd eventually pop-off at some point. Very unfun. That experience is not true for everyone. There was a magical moment on ebay a few years ago where you could get 4 for $30, but that offer is longggggggg gone.

I still don't know why they can't make plastic moonies, like normal hubcaps?

SentraSE-R 11-15-2009 09:43 AM

People who want full moons don't want plastic imitations. They want old school full grippers, not new technology floating rings to grip the wheels. Cheapest full moon or Hollywood flippers I've seen are $60/set of four, from a number of sources - about $75 shipped.

Yeah, I don't see racing disks as "cool" fashion statements for the general population. We think racing disks are cool, but they appeal to a "spartan" aesthetic.
