Back in HS days my cousin had a 90 cc moped. The motor part was great but the pedal part was like the brakes were dragging. I would think starting with a true mountain bike first then fitting a small engine and fuel tank would be much more versatile. JMHO.

I might still have a 2-stroke small engine laying around that I bought intending to fit into a mountain bike, altough I still never did it.

Four and a half minutes of the butthead doing wheelies- I want to see more details of the bike, which appears to be a lightweight dirt bike with mountain bike wheels. What I'd really like to see is it fitted with pedals and how much the rider would be huffing and puffing after pedalling it a block. I'm thinking the pedal option would be used about- oh- 0% of the time.

Still, I like it. I could go with less suspension travel- more street oriented- and a 50cc Honda or clone ICE, and make it street legal.

Oh- they made that already? 60's Honda C100, S90, and the like. Yeah, much like them only with more lightweight aluminum bits and the larger MTB wheels.

The current JDM Honda Cub is often deemed the less pollutant ICE street-legal vehicle nowadays.

That's great... if only Honda sold them here.

We also don't get them in Brazil, altough there are some facelifted versions with a 100cc carburettor-fed gasser and a 125cc with EFI and flexfuel ability.

I mean, we don't get ANY flavor of Supercub anymore.

Altough the Super Cub is not my favorite motorcycle, it would be bad if it got phased out locally too. I don't like the modern scooters because they seem more fragile than the Super Cub. Well, I would even consider to get one for commuting. Wouldn't even need a garage, could get it parked inside my bedroom :D

Depending on the state registration laws and moped classes you might have to use FMVSS certified motorcycle wheels, tires, and brakes if speeds above 30 mph are expected. Every bike deserves a fairing.
