Cool. I got a copy through ILL and will need to copy parts before I return it. Fair use, man. Nothing for sale.

My only beef is they edited out a lot of interesting and useful stuff from the 2nd edition to the 4th. My wife got the 2nd ed from the MIT library, and then I bought the 4th from Amazon. One of the sections I remember specifically is an analysis of the air flow *within* the wheel well and around the spinning tires...this was in the 2nd and is missing in the 4th, as far as I can see.

I thought I remembered seeing something about that last night as I leafed through the book. I'll look again once I get home.

I'm looking at the 4th edition right now... look at pp. 180-185. Is that like the section you are looking for? Was there more in the 2cd edition?

Thanks James, but yes the 2nd edition had much more data related to the movement of air of the spinning wheel inside of a fender well. I may see if my spouse can request an inter-library loan from MIT again; and I can copy this section.

...the 4th edition (SAE) has a blue dust-cover. Was trying to discern if this gray-colored one was the 2nd or 3rd edition (Butterworth).
