G-4 Bed cover open on a short trip
Last night I had occasion to travel to Deming to do a Total Lunar Eclipse program at Rock Hound State Park. I put the telescope in the back of the truck but had to put the base in the bed of the truck. This meant I had to keep the G-4 bed cover folded up all the way against the cab of the truck because the base was higher then the cover.
The truck did well regardless. I left the driveway with 29.8 miles on the trip log and 1.5 gallons of fuel used. When I got home I had 174.1 miles on the trip log and had used 8 gallons of fuel. This means I traveled 144.3 miles using 6.5 gallons of fuel for a net 22.2 mpg. The particulars were that I drove 55 mph on hwy 185, 65 mph on I-10 to Akela Flats, then 55 mph to the park. I did the reverse on the way home. |
What kind of scope do you have?

Telescope? Go on You Tube and see my four videos about the building of a 30 gallon barrel telescope.

telescopes
:thumbup:That's a nice little telescope. I also have built a few telescopes but don't do much anymore. If you can look past the clutter you can see two scopes I have built, the big one is a 20" f4 split ring equatorial and the smaller red one (behind the drill press) is a 10" split ring.
