gas to oil ratio
Hey guys,
Does anyone know where I can purchase smaller containers to measure out 2 cycle fuel for 40:1 and 50:1 ratios for my leaf blower and weed whacker ? I would prefer to mix them in smaller batches. Thank you, Kodak |
2 cycle oil mix
I use an empty "Stable" fuel stabilizer bottle. The ones with the squeeze measuring sidecar. I only use ashless oil and 1 oz/gal of "Seafoam".

Usually the oil is sold in a 4 ounce can, if my memory serves me correctly. That can is meant to be the correct amount to add to a gallon of gas. It will keep for more than a year with no problem, once mixed. |
I've seen measuring devices which were marked for 16-1 ratio, 32-1 ratio 40-1 ratio and 50-1 ratio's before, but don't remember for sure where, it may have been at Walmart. If they don't have one I'd check with a lawn and garden repair service/supply house or somewhere such as a Stilh dealer. Here's one I found on ebay. I like the AmsOil 100:1 synthetic oil and have been using it for years in my chainsaws, string trimmers, mopeds and motorcycles, if you aren't sure about a 100 to 1 mix add a little extra oil but at 100 to 1 all of my engines have been very very happy going on ten years now.

It's not for cars, but for two cycle motorcycle, lawn equipment, chain saws, etc. engines.

I agree the Amsoil stuff is amazing, also Golden spectro racing two stroke oil is great for more power, added some to my 4 stroke lawnmowers oil and it ran through tall grass without revving !! also back in the day my gt 380 suzuki two stroke bike went over 110 mph when every mag claimed 100 max speed, so i am a fan
