Gas prices?

I just dumped the lawn mower and Snow blower gas cans into the Prius C.
Going to go fill up the RAV4 and the gas cans at the local cheap-gas-station.

When I turned the Prius key to look at the gas gauge, it showed a quick popup asking what the gas price was? It displayed a really old price of $3.84 per gallon.
The local price of gas has been going up about a month now. Historical Gas Price Charts - Boston Gas Prices

I'm not sure where to set it, now that oil is going to be banned.
What would be a good price for the rest of the winter season??
I'm thinking 4 to 6 bucks a gallon.. Anyone got a guess?

If the vehicle doesn't interrogate the pump and update in real time, then you living in a technological dark age. :)

I listened to a mechanic give the run-down on gasoline to a new teenage drive once. I wish I'd written down notes. He had about three or four variables to consider. I remember spot-priced oil vs Chevron and summer/winter, but I don't recall the others.

I suspect oil won't be banned until the political situation sorts out. But that's a question for The Lounge.

Oil won't be banned. It's a facade to appear tough on oil while being in bed with them. Modern society doesn't exist without it.

Anti-oil is the achilles heel of the left as global warming denial is the achilles heel of the right.

Thank goodness for that. I doubt you'll be able to ride in a robotaxi for cash.

I don't think it's gonna get above $3.00/gal national average ever again. Too many ev's waiting in the wings.

Years ago, I said on this site that gas would never go over $4/gal again. A lot of peak oil folks disagreed, but it hasn't happened yet.

If the Green Wave gets its way, the price of gasoline will become irrelevant.

It will be the price of electricity that becomes most important.

What's going to spin the generators is the question.
