Gate turn off resistor

Hi, seeing that one has to find the right value for the gtr (on/off res)by trial and error more or less how is this

overcome when one is installing a ready made unit such as a Zilla or Warpdrive as

compared to a home brew unit which I really like.Need to know thanks.

Commercial controllers come with gate resistors already inside them, so you don't have to worry about it. I might be misunderstanding your question though.

Cheers,
I was under the impression that dI/dT was dependent on the current and induction of the motor being used so the ones supplied might be - not 100% efficient as the ones we put by observing the wave form... am I completely screwing things up remember mario bros...super Not

Thanks.
