Just dropping by

I've been lurking here for a little while now, and been on more and more when I decided to get my new Civic (09 hybrid w/Navi)

After purchasing my Honda, I started looking here to get better gas mileage, though even the first tank really pleased me, was getting 25-27 with a 2001 Chevy Malibu V6, so when I did a quick run through and realized the trip computer was not far off with 45-48 MPG, I have been thrilled. So far, all that I've been comfortable doing is tire pressure (up to 40lbs), but have been thinking about doing more. Some of what I will do will have to wait until the warranty is up, but you never know, I may change my mind on that...

Anyone from Mississippi here?

So hi, thanks for the tips so far, and I'm looking forward to what is in store for the future here...

Welcome to the site. The civic hybrid is a great car. I wish I had one. I'd at least throw an upper grill block on it though.

So far I'm loving it. I did a lot of research before I purchased it, and I drove many different vehicles before deciding on the Civic. It's quite a peppy vehicle, and I'm enjoying driving it quite a bit. And my goal is very realistic, and should be 'easy' - 50 MPG in town.

I've thought about doing a grill block of some sort, but I really want to do a quality job on it, and I'm not sure if I'll get the quality workmanship that I want if I do it now. (Looking at a lot of the work you did on both the Matrix and Paseo - great stuff) I also want to do some looking at what temps I'm going to be getting this year. It's getting close to that time of year where 100 + days are the norm, and with a relative humidity getting near 100 %. Finally, I've only had it a month!
