2019 Volkswagen Jetta LSR

Volkswagen is taking another Jetta to Bonneville, this time a non-hybrid.

I saw several articles on this car; some, like Jalopnik, erroneously report that the modified Jetta achieves Cd .27. However, after seeing other sources, like Autoweek, report the unmodified Jetta at Cd .27, I searched Volkswagen's own press kit for the 2019 Jetta and found that that's the number for the street car.

This looks like all the aerodynamic modifications we'd expect: no mirrors, lowered, solid wheel covers. Similar to the 2013 Jetta Hybrid LSR.

I saw the 0.27 reference elsewhere and also wondered what was up with that.

Ford claims to have dropped the CD of their Fusion land speed car from .34 to .21 doing similar mods:

So, 'how fast' does a VW Diesel go when EPA condemns it (wink)?

To my eye, the ford seems to have two or maybe three mods the VW does not: chin spoiler, bonneville spoiler, and possibly strakes on the rear diffuser.
