Gen 3 Gas Tank Too Small.
Here in Texas, United/Market Street Supermarkets award a point for each dollar you spend. Each 100 points get you 10 cents of every gallon of gasoline you get at their gas stations (up to 25 gallons) Trouble is, I throw away the savings on the extra 15 gallons I can't fit into my 10 gallon tank. I'm thinking of buying three 5 gallon Jerry cans to finish out my 25 gallons, and going to the pump 2 1/2 times less often, with the bonus of building my points to 50 cents off the price of a gallon. Is there a better way?

Got a gas can?
You might be able to find a few cheap ones at yard sales.

When I can I go with my mother to the gas station to use some of the cheaper gas. I've only done it with my motorcycle and her car as of yet.

How much gas can you transfer from the can without spilling?

Mom and I fill up at the same time, with the same discount. The first time we set down the nozzle. The second time Mom fueled and I moved each car.

I move much faster than she does.

I was hoping someone would point me to a place where I can get a larger replacement tank, or an auxiliary tank to add to the car.

I’m curious about this myself, as my car only holds 12 gallons max and I’d also like to double that... only thing I can think of is fabricating a bigger fuel cell to fit in the same space/take advantage of empty space under the car

As long as you are not drunk no one should be spilling more than a tea spoon or 2 of gas. If someone can't put gas from a gas can into a car with out spilling it every where they probably shouldn't be driving a car.

Cars stopped having options for a larger gas tanks in the 1970 as far as I know.
You could add a few cell but it would be installed inside the car and would cost several hundreds of dollars. If not more to do it right.

Yeah, I could put it in the spare tire well, but with that traction battery and the 12 V battery so close, I'm not sure how safe that would be.

A car with an unprotected gas tank, think ford pinto or old F100 with side gas tanks.

There is a large difference between spilling a teaspoon or two and an entire can.
