GM takes on Norway...Ford, Audi and Norweigian Prime Minister troll back!
 

GM will completely phase out ICE engines by 2035, they are aggressively marketing themselves to be a global electric vehicle brand. GM has created the Ultium battery platform to be the basis of many EV models for the many different GM brands. Will Ferrell is the GM EV spokesman, starring in an ad to be aired in the SuperBowl. The GMC Hummer EV pickup truck and the Cadillac Lyriq SUV were both featured in the ad. The Hummer pickup available for sale this year and the Cadillac SUV next year. More than half of all vehicle sales are EVs in Norway, because of advantageous national policies in owning and operating an electric vehicle. In comparison, the US EVs make up only 4% of the market share.

Quickly, Ford Norway and Audi Norway both created diss memes. Currently GM does not sell EVs in Norway -- so Ford & Audi want to make it clear, they are already way ahead of GM.

Now that GM no longer owns Opel, it's even more of an irony how it seemed quite easy to deploy electric versions of some mainstream models just like Opel did under its new parent company.
