It looks like they've been at this for years,renting to tourists.
One is on ebay currently at around $1,200 from a San Francisco rental fleet operator.
I anticipate love/hate comments:
*Internal combustion
*Passenger miles per gallon vs tour bus
*zero emission controls
*Crash safety
*Fair weather-only operation

Many years! I saw them on TV {around 2004 I think} and made a special trip to SF to rent one. I enjoyed the experience but the GoCar would not make it up several hills, overheated and died in Golden Gate Park; eventually making it back to the garage when cooled down. Once only for me- fun, but never again. A few years later I took me own 3-wheel EV to SF - no overheating, no pushing up hills, no smoke, etc. About 2011 was an article in the SF Chronicle about GoCars. The comments by residents were priceless!

I had a great time but it was a ''one time" day for me! I almost went towards the Golden Gate Bridge on-ramp (which is not allowed legally). That would have been a thrill :-D !
