Google Chrome

Well, Google just came out with a new browser. It should be interesting to see how the IE vs. Firefox vs. Chrome battle will play out. You can download chrome at the link below (windows only at the moment):

Google Chrome - Download a new browser

My first impressions were that is has a really nice look and layout, but it ran slow when I tried opening multiple videos in tabs. It might just be that my computer is slow, but that doesn't happen to me with firefox.

Does it have nice add ons such as the banner ad blocker or pop up blocker? The banner ad blocker to me is why Firefox is great. I don't see too many banner ads and it saves load time.

I read somewhere that the google chrome has one draw back and that is the way it handles flash. If you had multiple tabs open that were using flash on their sites that could easily explain the slow down.

Well there's a conflict of interest already. Ads are a major source of revenue for G. What'ya bet they disallow such add ons?

Chrome is open source, I doubt they'll try to push their agenda. They know they'll not win anyone over that way.

Anyway, it's sposed to fly with JS so I hope it is the windows killer they all say it'll be.

I've tried it, i felt i could sum it up, over hyped.
It may be quicker than Firefox for now in some areas like JavaScript (FF 3.1 will be quicker than chrome apparently) but it doesn't feel as professional or honed as Firefox does now, and it doesn't offer anything else i don't already have. I'm sticking with Firefox.
