Got a question for the Aspire owners
 

First off, im very excited to join the community and i hope i can contribute as much as i receive from this forum
How does your scan gauge work exactly. I didnt think that the aspires has a vehicle speed sensor that is picked up by obd II. If not, how accurate is it for mileage purposes in the aspire because it would make keeping track of mileage a lot easier than manually calculating my mileage adjusted for tire size. Not to mention not losing the gas receipts i wrote the mileage on being that my trip odometer doesnt work. Also how accurate is the instant feedback because i really need to work on my driving, ive got the general idea but nothing to reference while driving.

As to exactly what sensors are read, I haven't got a clue- but the speedometer gets its info from something. I don't know the ScanGauge itself, but I know the UltraGauge needs to be calibrated, so mileage readings are adjustable. Some folks base their calibrations off GPS, I do it against the odometer at fill up time. That makes for much longer fill ups until you're happy with the settings because you have to fiddle with numbers before you leave the pump.

But the instant feedback is priceless, well worth any hassle at the pump.

It'll get pretty accurate, but nothing is 100% accurate except the old method of miles traveled divided by gallons pumped into the tank.
