Greetings from Washington, D.C.

I've been a long time lurker but I figure I should start participating.

I'm currently building my Civic project car with the following:

* D16Z6 block overbored +1mm (from a 1992-1995 Civic EX/Si for non-Honda folks)
* 9:1 pistons
* D15B8 8-valve head (from 1992-1995 Civic CX)
* T28 turbo, planning on running 5-7 PSI of boost
* CX/VX transmission

Feel free to give me grief. I probably deserve it :turtle:

Well, at least you've got the idea right about going with the taller geared transmission. Adding a turbo for economy makes sense if you gear it up.

Welcome to the forum.

With the low compression it'll run decent at cruising but it's going to be very slow getting up to speed = more throttle = more fuel consumption.

I'm hoping that with the turbo assist it can get up to speed more quickly and use less gas. Then it can cruise out of boost.
