Yo

Hey hey. Newspaper delivery guy here. I have an '04 Saturn Ion 1 (auto . . . meh) that I may look into modding for better fuel economy since gas is eating up more of my budget than I'd like right now. The car can do 24 mpg in mixed delivery/commuting mileage based on data from the trip meter + pump, but it needs to do better. Or I need something that can do better. Been looking at a '97 Geo Metro auto (1.3L), but its EPA ratings don't make it look much better.

I'll get down to the business of asking questions about that elsewhere on the forums. For now, hello!

Welcome to EM!

What is your paper route like? Is it lots of frequent stops, or is it longer drives between stops?

I'd say a ScanGauge E or and UltraGauge would be you best first modification.

I've spent many hours looking for information on improving fuel economy and this is the place to be, welcome! Spend some time and read some of the information, also do a search in the "garage" for people who have the same car as you and ask them for help.
