Not very useful when most new vehicles use either 5W-30 or 0W-30 oils.

I think most of the people here run cars 10+yrs older. |
Black Friday [excuse for a] clearance? :)
Walmart has 5w30 high mileage for $19.98: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pennzoil-...5-qt/135786509 Rebate I hope you're happy! :D |
Even people with older cars should use 0w-30, there is no downside to oil that thickens less when it gets colder.

I don't collect discs and cannot be bothered to get up from the couch, find a movie I want to play, and then insert it into some machine connected to the TV.
All of my content is stored on a Plex server which consumes somewhere between 6-10 watts. I also have Netflix and Amazon Prime in addition to HD over the air TV. I bought a Xiaomi 4k (Video) quad for about $320, and a spare battery for $40. Also got the Xiaomi fitness band for my Mom for $15. I'm quickly growing fond of the company that doesn't make the best products, but gets 90% of the way there and costs 1/3 the price. |
How long until Xiaomi makes electric cars? :)

I still retain the books that informed my thinking over the years, but I don't have bookcases to display them in. Let alone locking bookcases like lawyers have. I lost a volume one, number one Life magazine from an unlocked bookcase. Back then it was months or years between the 'black swan' events. Now its like this just this morning: sciencealert.com: Research Finds It Might Not Be Consciousness That Drives The Human MindTrivia bonus: wikipedia:Oregon House, California |
I love books! They create such beautiful bonfires! :D
[maniacal laugh] I recently read "Holes." The school library is more homogeneous than the public library probably is, but it is a much shorter walk! I do not recall the last time that I read a novel. It was invigorating! Hey, isn't there a book version of "Harry Potter?" :D I forget which volume was 940 pages, but I read the first 470 sitting in a lawn chair at Walmart. Then I put it back on the shelf and left as an employee yelled at me, just before closing. People used to insist Walmart never closed. "It is called 24-hour Walmart!" Now I need to work around their hours. I have a number of old books that I picked up somewhere. I have always planned on reading them and then recycling them or something, but I always feel too busy to read, and then keep up-to-date here, research interests, etc. I listened to a Dave Ramsey book and an abridged version of "Seven Habits" that included an even more abridged version of "The Eighth Habit." I enjoyed them. I listened to a book or two through Librivox, but it is free, and you get what you pay for. I wish I knew how to make better use of the ten hours that I drive each weekend, but often audiobooks make me feel sleepy! That public library would probably be useful... |
