Yes there is a way to interface, suspect it will be convoluted because the base software and operating system is optimized for the stuff it displayes currently. That means you need to learn how and where to inject then display your display of data.
The guy that uses the raspberry pi knows how. Ask.
How good are you at reading and programming in obscure assembly languages? The difference is syntax and command names you won't know.
Can you acquire the data tranfer and pinout information for the chipset? The aftermarket people will have pinouts.
