These cars are so nice and wide, I think they'd be perfect for a luxurious grand tourer conversion. Maybe someone would like to create this kit before I can one day.

Idea; 4Th Gen Camaro with an Italian style re-body and a full hatch conversion.




The rear hatch would need rear windows from a common hatchback car to meet DOT glass rules... unless the stock one could be repositioned to fit underneath.

I would think this overall rear shape is more aerodynamic then regular cars and also there's the benefit of a larger cabin.

The front is influenced by the Ferrari Italia.

Looks pretty cool. Delete the side mirrors and add some aerodynamic wheels!

Id be down for it, as i have an 95 F-body 3.4L with T-5... I hasn't ran for almost a year, and the clutch needs replaced, the interior is well (warn and gutted) and the mirrors are already removed... I have plans of redoing the car as it was a partial trade so it hasn't costs me money ...yet

The tricky part is making the kit. I have a few projects I plan on doing so it would take a long time for me to get to this one... but I have lots of experience to guide you on how to get the kit carved in foam slices which would be glued together as a large shell if you'd be up to the challenge. There's lots of potential profits to share too.

Bringing the belt line up on the kit shell, the side windows only peak out enough to still be useful.

well, i dont have foam panels or blocks, but i get sizable bouble sided laminated foam posterboards from my job site that the company just throws away frequently i have about 25) 36"x24" atm and about 10) 48"x28" panels i plan to make a firbreglass enforced boat tail/luggage bags for the 81 Goldwing to streamline it out a bit and increase storage.
Im pretty good at piecing things together and creating shells, its arts&crafts/origami to me

I start out hand designing but getting both sides symmetrical is very hard and also the nice and perfect smooth curves a CNC can make to reflect the light just right, would be very hard to replicate.
