Headed to Yosemite

The wife and I will be taking the Prius down to Yosemite for spring break. We've never been, and I'm hoping to see some frazzle ice. We'll have 3-4 days to explore, and I figured the best way to get around efficiently would be with mountain bikes. My wife doesn't think so, and is concerned about how to secure the bikes when not riding them.

Should I bring the bikes on a hitch mounted rack?

What do I need to see while I'm there later this month?

My wife and I both rock climb, but I only do sport routes. I'm doubt Yosemite has any sport routes, but please correct me if I'm wrong. Would be fun to climb something. Maybe I'll bring the shoes for the hike up Half Dome, just in case I don't make the lottery to use the walkway. Perhaps it's too icy this time of year anyhow.

How much stuff are you bringing--is it possible to secure the bikes in the hatch when you aren't using them?

Going to Rock climbing Mecca

Was on top of hafe dome last summer the view is worth the time.11+hrs 17 mi roundtrip to the parking lot I skiped the bus . I recommend camping @Little Yosemite Valley for a Hafe Dome cables trip . Bring gloves for the "Cables" . Check if they have found a new route for section#12 the last one felloff and as of aug'15 no new route. On the North Face. South Face was unaffected. Glaser Point is a must see. The Giant Sequoia if you think a Red Wood is a LARGE tree then the Sequoia is an X-LARGE tree and you must see. The Mairaposia Grove of Giant SequoiaAs to lackof posable sport routs you are headed to Mecca over 200 routes pined and asking to be climbed.
As for the bikes; rentals are available for the best FE; option 2: take off tires, seat and wrap tight in a sheet as close to the body as possible and below the 3rd brake light put the parts inside lock in car while on hikes or bring a long chain/cable and lock frame, front, and rear wheel to a tree.
kayaking. Rafting also

Witch route is planed. 120/Sonora north and east gate,140/Mairaposa west gate,or 41 /Oakhurst south gate? For me in 140. Out 41 to Fresno and back up 180 to Kings Canyon NP and Sequoia NP. I hit 7 NP this last summer. Counting these 3

I think I'll skip the bikes since it seems they don't give much more access than the roads / buses. Not only that, but my super expensive mountain bike has a leak on the dropper seat that I don't have the time / tools to fix at the moment.

Googling sport climbing in Yosemite returned some results, so I'm going to try finding some routes that are doable by someone that hasn't climbed in a year. Something in the 5.9 range hopefully. I'll also hit the indoor gym 2-3 times as a last minute attempt to build some endurance. My plan is to climb 1 route every day and then spend the afternoon hiking. I won't have the endurance to do multiple routes.

I have been there in early April and there is still snow in the campgrounds some years.

And if not snow this year, probably quite wet from all the rain - if it's not actually raining when you get there. I'm about 100 miles north, and we've still got high winds from a weekend storm that dropped a couple of feet of snow in the mountains.

Also, this time of year you're not likely to get too far out of the valley without skis or snowshoes, and Half Dome is going to be a non-starter.
