Hello
I have a 1990 Civic DX Hatch. Got it last year because I knew it was a good, small car. But ever since, I've begun to try to modify it mostly for aerodynamics/efficiency. Also put on a CAI for a little more hp, but, as far as I'm concerned, it hasn't hurt the FE.
Starting out, I got about 35. Nowadays I average 45 in mostly city driving. I've gotten as much as 60 on all-highway driving. I really don't want to make my car look ugly. Nor do I want to lose quick acceleration when needed. |

have you invested in a MPG feed back device? I fine that they drastically improved my FE (hard data of 16.8%). |

I haven't. Is there a link for how to make a reliable one for my ODB generation of car?
I put on an air/fuel meter which helps. |

and welcome aboard |
After driving a moving truck, I realized that quick acceleration is only a want, not a need. It is more satisfying to anticipate the opportunity, and start early in the right gear, or to preserve momentum instead. Sounds like you have been heading that way pretty well anyway.
