Hello :)

Hello everyone :)

I currently drive a 2008 Pontiac G5 Sedan (Automatic), car's reading an average of 7.2 L / 100 KM (32.66 MPG) and while the car is in use it is outputting that it's using 2 L / 100 KM. I believe it's doing quite well for a 2.2L engine. I keep it in top notch shape (tires inflated, regular maintenance etc.), hoping after I have the K&N air filter replacing the stock air filter I may get more MPG's.

I will be browsing the site and the forum to see if there is a possibility to push the gas usage lower then what it is currently reading.

Welcome!

There are many ideas and tips to be found here :) look at the top for the 65+ and 100+ pages. they are a good place to start.

Hi Brit - if you haven't yet spent the money on the K&N filter, I would suggest saving it.

While it's possible it may increase peak power (ie. at full throttle), it won't likely have any effect on fuel consumption at the low power loads we typically spend most of our time in to get best MPG.

There's a reason K&N do NOT claim fuel economy benefits in their marketing material - they know the law!

PS - welcome to the forum!
