Hello From Dk (showing my Renault Clio)

Hello From Denmark, So i bought this 2018 Renault Clio 1.5 dci brand new from the dealer, i have owned the car for almost 9 months now and put 100.000 km on it.(still original wiper blades and brake pads) the engine is an 8 valve 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel. With a low pressure egr valve. It is the smallest car to come standard with an active grill shutter. I bought the original Renault Zoe 16 inch "Aerotronic" Rims which returns the same consumption as the smaller 15 inch aluminium rims.
I plan on getting it lowered 40 mm. and cutting of the rear muffler. As I drive a lot on the Autobahn in Germany at high speeds
My average consuption has been aroun 4.7 liters per 100 km but my record is 3.8 liters per 100 km on 1 tank 1478 km (55 Liter tank)

With the low rolling resistance Zoë tyres on them ?

The wheel shape and tyres seem to compensate for the (usually) higher weight (and higher fuel consumption) of the bigger rims.

Should be good for fuel efficiency.

and cutting of the rear muffler.
Why ?
Reducing back-pressure may make the engine run worse, not better.

Driving slower would help to improve your FE ... :D

If you want to drive fast, you need to look into aerodynamic modifications.

Thanks you Very Much and yeah i drive 11000 km a Month. :) the tires are the Stock Michelin Energys saver. Removing the muffler in a diesel reduces exhaust temperatures and gives less backpressure. Aero mods is a Good Idea but i want to keep the car original on the outside
