The Speck - '00 Chevrolet Metro Base

The start of a new adventure

Just wanted to get my first post out of the way. I purchased a 2000 Chevrolet metro 3cyl/5 speed a couple of weeks ago. It was in decent shape and I know it needs some TLC. I also need to get my ultragauge so I can start to understand the better driving habits. The gas gauge didn't work until my last fill up and I only averaged 26 mpg on my first tank. I babied it but maybe a little too much. I have to change the air filter, oil and see what codes show up. I look forward to learning the right way to drive this car.

Welcome.

I remember getting my first Firefly (Metro), and it definitely felt like the start of an adventure. (I'd never owned a car that small, for one thing.)

Good luck with your maintenance. Sounds like you have something to sort out - that's really bad mileage for the 1.0 5-speed!
