Hello from England

Hi guys,

Discovered the forum whilst looking for info on mpg metering in non-OBD cars like my 1997 Impreza 2.0 Sport

I like tinkering with stuff and do built the odd small project.

I've always kept a fuel log for my cars over the past 20-odd years but I hope to learn a lot here and have fun.

Peter

Welcome fellow european! I believe the thing you are looking for is the mpguino. Never had one but if you're looking to tinker with stuff then you've come to the right place!

Welcome to the site. The mpguino is definitely what you are after. Good luck.

Hi Peter, welcome on-board.

Happy to see someone not so far from here :)

With the cold temperature, you may have a try to a front grill block : the engine heats quicker and keep its heat longer :) With cardboard/coroplast and tape, it is a 10 minutes project. You have lot of examples in the forum.

Denis.

The Impreza is a thing of great beauty. I won't be spoiling it with
lumps of cardboard ;-)

People used to do that in the 70's to help prevent their rads
freezing but it made little difference.

I have a few mods that liberate a few extra bhp to aid economy.
There is a Racelogic Alterpower between the alternator and the battery
a K&N panel air filter and a free-er flowing manifold and backbox.
It all improves the pick-up and I am sure it helps economy despite
my driving ;-)
