Hello from Jersey
 

I've been a lurker on here for a few months now but I figure there's no time like the present to start posting. I've got an '07 Toyota Corolla CE with the slushbox 4-speed and the 1.8L 1ZZ engine.

The car is modified with Tein S-Tech springs (about 2 inch drop), XRS sway and front strut tower bars, OEM fogs, Altis S grille, HID headlights, Altis tails, stub antenna, vortex generators, and a front grille block. The car looks much sleeker than stock and handles great, but more importantly with adjusting my driving habits and inflating the tires to 45-50 psi, the mileage has been wonderful. I have gone from getting low 30s in combined driving to 41 mpg for my last tank. I'm at slightly less than half a tank now with 330 miles on the clock so I'm hoping to do even better.

This site has helped tremendously and the threads are always interesting. It's definitely a great place to spend time.

corolla is a good car for mileage. Your lucky, i never know how much gas i have, i just guess, and i don't stretch it very far. :rolleyes:

Thanks for the welcome! I just filled up this afternoon after school and got 44.1 mpg. I am completely thrilled.
