Hello from MA

Hello everyone, bought this 2008 honda fit last January and been trying to get the most mpg out of it.
I had hx wheels with 165 70 14 tires and just installed a scangauge. First tank while adjusting scangauge I got 50.25mpg but my manual calculations showed 58mpg. Haven't been able to check again because the car was overheating and it's been down for repairs.
While it's down, I sold the hx wheels and got insight spares and mounted 165 70 14 tires. Lost about 3lbs compared to the hx setup and about 10lbs compared to the steel wheel setup I had before.
Installed a motorcycle lithium battery, removed some trim pieces, rear wiper and motor, replaced stock spare with insight spare and with this it lost about 40lbs.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to install the radiator and start testing again.
So far I think the scangauge has been the best addition, being able to monitor engine load, fuel consumption, etc it's been very helpful. Was reluctant about spending money on it but now I'm glad I did.
