Turtle new member 50mpg more to come

95 metro sedan with a 1.0 with 4.39 final out of a coupe. 50.05 mpg last 1k miles. original 1.3/5sp car got 46 mpg. i will install the original 3.79 final ratio trans after rebearing job. Also considering 10 degree advance on stock cam or an xfi regrind, that cam is supposed to be 6 degrees advanced and shorter lift. no aero mods other than the right mirror that was gone when the car was purchased. enjoy this site. Thanks Andy in Oregon

Did you do the 1.0 swap yourself? Yours is the first 1.0 '95+ sedan I've heard about. Welcome to the site.

Yes I did the swap myself. I am a mechanic by trade. I purchased a 95 coupe with a nose job. All the parts were there, the clutch cable is even longer on the 3 cyl setup. I only had to drill one tranny mount hole. I used the coupe as a pattern, exactly 2" back from the factory 4 cylinder mount hole. I have a 60 mile per day commute, mostly on country 55 mph roads. lots of help from you guys on this page, Thanks
