Hello from Minnesota

Just came across this forum yesterday, and no thanks to you all I didn't get much sleep last night trying to find out what everyone is doing. I've been looking for something to replace my horribly inefficient Suburban, and thats how I found you.

Welcome ---

Lots of people here from the cold north. I did my time 15 years ago. Now I get up a 6am on Sat mornings to get the yard work done before it hits 90 at 9am (Tucson AZ).
My recommendation is get the grill block and block heater figured out before its too cold to work on the car. In cold north driving, those are the two things that will keep your winter gas mileage from dropping too far. Look at peoples fuel logs and see how bad the mileage gets in the winter compared to the summer. That was a big eye opener to me when I started here.

Do the EM guys have a billboard in Minnesota or something? It seems be be unusually overrepresented here.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)

We're close enough to Canada to have a cheap supply of good beer and duct tape, and when its not fishing season.....

Add that to the fact that for 9 months we think of stuff to do for the other 3 and you end up with people who like to tinker on cars and work on the yard.:D

I drive around a lot with my EM stickers on my car, maybe that helps?

So true! Then there are some more hardcore guys that continue to work in the cold on their cars too.

Welcome to EM, fellow minnesotan!
