hello from a newbie

I have been looking around for a few days and I decieded to join. I am big into the whole DIY thing but I've always been a bit under educated when it came to automobiles.

I currently drive a 2001 Buick Regal that I average 19mpg. I am also in the market for a second used car/truck since my wife and I are getting tired of sharing the one car. She is a SAHM with 2 kids.

Welcome to ecomodder! What kinda car are you looking at for the next one?

Hi Mike - welcome to the forum.

I just had a quick look at your instructable for the $300 kids cabin/playhouse. Really nice work!

I am looking for a 4 cyl manual Ford Ranger with Jump Seats. 1994 - 1999
It is proving to be extremely difficult to find

My wife wants me to get something tiny and fuel efficent but being 6' 4" and 260lbs I don't fit into a lot of small cars.

Thanks,
This is kinda the reason I am looking for a truck. I always seem to have some project going on.

I am in the process of designing a computer table for my 4yr old and I really hate the fact that it will cost more for delivery charges than it will for the materials.

Small car (that you're comfortable in) and a trailer might be a better combo - of course, that assumes you've got some place to park a trailer.

Is this possible?

I found a used 1994 Ford Ranger 4x2 auto with jump seats, but it's got the 3 liter v6.

I e-mailed the guy about MPG and he says he averages about 26mpg mixed highway and city. Could this be for real?

Thanks,
Mike
