Hello there.
Hi, I am new here, been looking at stuff on the site several times before finally decided to join. I have owned my 1993 Ford Festiva for about a year and a half. Automatic transmission. Been averaging about 32-34 with normal driving, but have seen up to 45 on the hwy. No moddifications currently, just starting to experiment with hypermiling/dealing with lead foot syndrome. would like to add smooth wheel covers and rear wheel skirts and some others.

Thanks for taking the plunge! Nothing to be nervous about here! You have a nice light weight car. I'm sure you'll have fun seeing your #'s go up.
I love going up through the valley between Ogden, and Evanston when I travel through. Been on other trips to south Utah by motorcycle, and car. Nice country! |
welcome!
first thing, pump up the tires. 40-45 is pretty common. really makes a difference |
thanks for welcoming me. I just moved here so far I like it a lot. I'm usually I'm pretty good at keeping my tires inflated. And ya I find it kinda fun to see higher mpgs out of each tank. What's a good easy/cheap aero mod to start with?

Grille block, rear wheel skirts, outside mirror deletions when possible(legal) or downsized, or put inside (check Utah laws)
Make a front airdam from lawn edging found at Lowes, or Home Depot. |
