Hi I'm new here. Long story short I just got my vx yesterday. Driving it home on the highway I noticed compared to my civic hx I had it was revving Kinda high at 60mph. But at the same time is has a Japanese cluster so I didn't know
If that had something to do with it. So I stopped and checked out the tranny code and it turns out its swapped lol. I think it said pk4 or something like that? Anyways I googled vx/cx trannys and ended up here lol. Now my search for a tranny continues....

Just off the top of my head -

In the Gen 6 Civics, the lower trim level DX and also the fuel sipping HX had the taller geared trannys.

So for your car, try find out if that's the same case for the VX's. If true, then the less-wanted taller trannies shouldn't be TOO hard to find. You'll likely find an eager buyer for your fast revving tranny.

Cooltool-if you get me the vin # I should be able to look up the tranny # that should be in your car-honfit
ps I work at a honda dealership and can get info on what other honda car trannies will swap
