Help a Chevy guy out :D

:turtle:

hey guys :) I was drivin along today thinkin about ways i could get better mpg while I'm cruisin and this VW Jetta passed me with an ecomodder.com decal on it, so I thought hmm.. theres a start lol

I drive a 2009 Chevy Cobalt SS an I'm trying to get as much fuel milage out of my car that I can.. I'm hopin this forum can help :D

I have a couple mods done mostly for power(intake, exhaust, tune), but while they didn't hurt my mpg, didn't really help either..
EPA estimates were 22city/30hwy, but I'm getting about 19 city/26 highway(usually, with all these hills out here lol) I got much better milage in Texas..

soooo I'm all ears to what I can do to get the most use out of the gas that I have in my tank.

Thanks!!

That's very cool that an EM sticker brought you here. The lower temps are hurting you a bit right now, but you can definitely make some good initial improvements.

Start out with a more anticipatory look at traffic. Be as alert as you can to impending traffic situations, such as red lights, slow trucks, turning cars and little jams. Once you've given yourself more information about traffic, you can change your reactions by liming unnecessary acceleration.

Maybe you'll start a fuel log. Tracking mileage tank-to-tank is a good way to chart your progress - especially since you're just starting to become more aware of fuel economy.
