hey all,
i am currently rehabilitating a honda civic vx back to drivable condition. I purchased it from one of my moms co-worker for 500 bucks. so far here is what i have done and what needs to be done. done so far/ bought so far: new battery new thermostat new/ used fuel pump new fuel filter underhood new plugs new plug wires new cap and rotor new 02 sensor used steel hood-white used passenger fender-white used passenger headlight needs to be done: shim hood and new fender needs driverside rear taillight needs patch panels on both rear quarter panels new clutch and throw out bearings the thing has 200000 miles and is a 93. its a project and hopefully will be able to be driven shortly. hope to learn and contribute information about my project as it progresses. |

Wow! What a great car to bring back to life! When it was brand new you could expect upper 40's low 50's in fuel economy and even if you just get it back in running condition you should have a super practical and efficient little Civic. Probably the easiest modification would be to lower the ride height a bit and get some lightweight wheels and low rolling resistance tires, the rest of the car should already be very efficient.
