Hello from MD

Hello all,

I've been a reading the forum for about 2 months for ideas on how to improve my mileage. Currently driving 26 miles daily to work and shortly i'll be driving 35-40 miles shortly. Already purchased a mpguino and a vacuum gauge to install, they just haven't arrived yet.

Wanted to say thank you to all of the members of this site for the great information and looking forward to attempting to get 50mpg+ out of my 1993 Civic DX hatchback.

Welcome from Northern Virginia. Glad to see you are already doing pretty well, especially if you ever drive in ugly DC or Baltimore traffic.

Currently waiting for the most exciting mods to show up. I'm really looking forward to the vacuum gauge and MPGuino combination. I have already made some pizza pan hubcaps and recently installed an injector cutoff switch for easy engine off coasting.

Driving around in DC will be a daily part of my commute soon, so hoping to get up to and stay in the 50s with the vacuum gauge and guino.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome already!

Filled up today for the first time after installing the switch for EOC. I'm impressed with my 52mpg usage this tank. Didn't have to use A/C and was really working on my coasting. Can't wait to do some aero mods to help with this. Getting very excited!

Belated welcome, and congrats on the first 50+ fill-up!

It's fun and addictive, especially with a "game gauge".
